Studio Vinyasa Yoga Classes
‘Vinyasa’ is an umbrella term for a broad range of yoga practices and techniques, in which the movements of the body are synchronised with the breath. Vinyasa yoga is sometimes called ‘Flow’ yoga, because of the way in which postures and positions move fluidly into one another, almost like a dance.
Vinyasa Flow yoga has both physical and mental benefits, improving strength, flexibility, and general wellbeing, whilst the synchronisation of movement and breathing is a meditative experience, helping to calm and quieten the chatter of the mind.
My weekly drop-in classes are comprised of hour-long group sessions, three times each week, at various locations in Greenwich, although I offer both private (one to one and one to two) and corporate group sessions as well.
Government guidelines regarding COVID-19 are adhered to in my studio spaces; including social distancing, the cleaning of mats, and the provision of hand sanitiser. Studio classes are occasionally broadcast to others via Zoom, for those students who might still feel unsure about attending a class in-person during the current crisis.
“As a yoga novice, I’ve found Katherine’s teaching to be wonderfully patient and easy to follow. She is very in tune to the abilities of her students and adapts accordingly, knowing when to push us and when to be kind! I thoroughly recommend her classes.”
